Exclude People From Birthday Messages

We love the function, and most of our families and staff enjoy receiving them. However, some staff members prefer not to receive these messages, particularly those who do not celebrate for religious reasons. As an inclusive employer, it would be beneficial to allow certain individuals to opt out of receiving birthday messages. Could this option be linked to the "birthday tick" on their profiles, as it is currently unused?
