Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory Integration for Automated User Provisioning

Summary

We would like EyeManage to support automated user provisioning through direct integration with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and/or Active Directory, or alternatively provide a comprehensive REST API that allows organisations to automate user account creation and management.

Current Challenge

At present, user accounts within EyeManage must be created and maintained manually. This creates additional administrative overhead for IT teams, increases the risk of human error, and introduces delays when onboarding new starters or processing changes to existing staff accounts.

Our organisation already manages the user lifecycle through Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory. When a new user is created, multiple downstream systems are provisioned automatically. EyeManage currently requires a separate manual step, preventing it from being incorporated into our automated onboarding process.

Requested Functionality

Option 1: Native Microsoft Entra ID / Active Directory Integration

Provide integration with Microsoft Entra ID and/or Active Directory that allows:

• Automatic creation of EyeManage accounts when users are created in Entra ID.

• User attribute synchronisation (name, email address, department, role, etc.).

• Automatic account updates when user details change.

• Automatic account deactivation when users leave the organisation.

• Support for role or group-based assignment.

• Single Sign-On (SSO) using Entra ID.

Option 2: Public API for User Management

Provide a secure REST API that supports:

• User creation

• User updates

• User deactivation/deletion

• Role assignment

• User lookups/searches

This would allow organisations to integrate EyeManage into existing automation platforms such as:

• Microsoft Power Automate

• Azure Logic Apps

• Microsoft Graph-based workflows

• HR-driven onboarding processes

• Custom provisioning scripts
